Jeffrey M. Eckman, CEO & General Partner

Jeff Eckman founded Blue Green Ventures (BGV) in 2008, and has over 15 years of experience in technology, media, and healthcare. Jeff’s background includes a mix of marketing, operations, business development, and consulting practice from his work with public, private, and pre-IPO companies, coupled with research and design of organizational strategy and systems in rapid growth contexts.

Prior to starting BGV, Mr. Eckman worked for several Fortune 500 companies including Viacom and Wyeth, as well as serving in management and consulting capacities with SMBs ion interactive, Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals, and Three Lens Advisors.

Jeff has served on the Board of the Human Resources Council, Bookbuilders of Boston, and is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery. For over 11 years, Jeff has been the drummer for Boston’s “Pressure Cooker” an original reggae act, and is actively involved in community non-profit organizations. Mr. Eckman is a summa cum laude graduate of Northeastern University where he earned his BS in Operations Technology, and holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
